UK Operations Manager

Amazon

London, United Kingdom

DESCRIPTION

Since opening our virtual doors in 1995, we’ve been pushing the boundaries of possible further and further.

Our entire business works hard to delight our customers – from the second an order is placed online to the seamless coordination of that order behind the scenes, we strive to stay agile, fluid and intentional. That can be described in one of our core Leadership Principles, which is Bias for Action. This means that our teams band together, roll up their sleeves, and aren’t content with just standing still. We’re aiming to become the most customer-centric company on Earth.

Amazon Shipping
Amazon shipping offers Amazon’s logistic capabilities as a product and service. Amazon Shipping’s first customers are MFN Sellers in the UK, offering them to ship their domestic volume using our delivery network. We launched in March 2016 and are now building a team to scale Amazon Shipping at pace.

Amazon Logistics is looking for a UK Collections Network Manager who can help us establish Amazon Shipping across the UK by designing and scaling our collection network in line with our growth projections.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a team and initiative that is at the very start of its journey. You will be part of the core team that will design, build and implement a Collections Network which will exceed our customer’s expectations.

Your responsibilities
The Collections Team are critical to the success of Amazon Shipping and they manage the operational on-boarding and day to day operation for sellers that are enrolled in the program. You will be responsible for leading the team and managing the wider collection operation through multiple stakeholders across Amazon Logistics. You will also lead the strategic direction of the Collections Team, ensuring that the team and operation are designed to consistently deliver a world class service as we grow at pace.

In this role, you will work with functions that cut across the organization, including transportation, operations, technology and customer service, to drive a world class collections experience for our customers. Furthermore, you’ll track and drive both the operational goals and metrics of the UK Collections Network, while regularly presenting your findings to the senior leadership team.

Finally, you’ll also help us as we Hire and Develop the Best. This will help you create and implement a talent plan for the Collections Network Team, and will touch on talent acquisition, performance and career management, learning and development and positive employee engagement.
