AECOM works with national and local governments around the world to manage and support critical programs in the areas of defense, security and intelligence; energy and climate change; environmental cleanup and waste management; infrastructure development, protection and resilience; and international development. Our global operations and connected expertise enable us to provide cutting-edge, relevant and cost-effective solutions that help our clients safeguard and enrich society and the world we live in.

An opportunity exists for an individual to join our site based team in support of a major programme of work for the MoD.

AECOM is currently negotiating the next phase of the UK DIO contract and, once the negotiations have been completed, we will be looking for staff to fill a large number of interesting and challenging roles. It is anticipated that we will be recruiting for several staff for the roles. The roles will be across three locations so there will be some flexibility and in some cases there might well be a chance to work from home for part of the week. The approximate start and end dates is still to be confirmed, but we are looking for a mixture or full time employee’s and fix term contracts(6-18 months)

Previous experience working in the defence market is not a pre-requisite in the vast majority of cases.
Security Clearance will be required, so you will currently possess or be willing to go through the process of securing.

The role is primarily focussed on delivering cost savings identified by earlier investigations carried out by the team.

Actively support negotiations for long term deals around the use of certain accommodation properties on behalf of the MOD. Outline terms of a future deal need to be agreed internally and negotiated with the PFI Contractor as this will form one of the key options that are appraised in the business case.

Working with the local housing managers and the local chain of command to realise a number of planned releases of units.

Supporting an upskilling of the local teams to improve the quality of contract management in order to challenge contractors where deemed necessary.

Participate in a series of workshops and audits with PFI Contractors.
