Payroll Specialist Northern Europe - Global Spirits Company

Our team is currently looking for a Payroll Specialist Northern Europe who will be accountable for all Payrolls and benefits across Nordics, Benelux and France. Currently 8 payrolls with approximately 400 employees across 6 countries. This role has also direct management responsibilities for 1 Payroll Coordinator, who is responsible for two of these payrolls (Belgium and France).
Your role
Ensuring end to end delivery of the compliance agenda within the various payroll functions.
Building strong partnerships with multiple stakeholders in Amsterdam and across other functions and regions such as Finance, broader HR teams, Global Mobility, First Point, Diageo Payroll Governance team, etc., and manage 3rd Parties across 6 countries (e.g. KPMG, Deloitte, PwC) to ensure HR processes that impact payroll are done in a timely manner.
The role will involve deep dive projects into specific process topics which may be several months in duration and will involve working with a wide variety of stakeholders in the business and will help develop standards/principles for ways of working.
In the Netherlands there is a large Expat community (3rd largest in Europe), both inbound and outbound, which is outsourced to an external partner, however end responsibility sits with the Payroll & Benefits Manager Northern Europe.
The Purpose of the Role
Guarantee accurate and timely payrolls in a compliant way
Manage end to end benefits for all joiners, movers and leavers (JML), including administration of the various insurances
To manage our Flexible benefits systems and the impact on payroll
Be in charge of all Purchase Orders for all Payroll and Benefits related Vendors
Lead Annual Compliance and CARM processes for Payroll and Benefits
Ensure Data Privacy across all our internal processes and Vendors
Prepare and coordinate external and internal audits
Administrate the WKR (Work-related Costs Scheme) for the Netherlands office
Manage process improvement, payroll projects and compliance related reconciliations as required
Own the Tax Control Framework
Your Profile
You have at least 4 - 6 years of Payroll experience, especially in the Dutch market
You have amazing interpersonal skills and the ability to exert influence across the business at all levels
You are autonomous and proactive, with an outstanding attention to detail and analytical rigour, able to multi-task and focus on deadlines and targets
You have experience in managing processes involving a team of direct or non-direct reports in a multi-disciplined environment
You must be fluent in both Dutch and English
You are based in the beautiful city of Amsterdam
