Within Schneider Electric, Energy Supply and Sustainability (ESS) operate as a distinct global business group helping its clients to reduce their energy spend. ESS acts as a global independent consultancy with over 2,000 experts from energy supply, sustainability and resource efficiency managing over 30 billion euros in energy spend, working with over 6,000 clients and 300,000 managed sites.

We have a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Client Manager within M&C Energy Group, part of Schneider Electric UK. The key purpose of the role is to help existing Schneider Electric clients achieve their Energy & Sustainability goals as they relate to ESS’s Software and Managed Services products. Managing the high-level relationship and business strategy, the measurements of success in this role will be on renewal rates as well as upsells and cross sells in to allocated accounts. As the primary contact for clients, the Client Manager will ensure increased revenue, customer adoption, satisfaction and retention.

Main responsibilities:

Instructing relevant Operational teams to commence delivery of contracted services.
Ensuring delivery of contracted services is occurring in a timely fashion and against agreed KPIs
Supporting resolution of all International customer queries, taking care to establish within reasonable limits whether the support provided is in contracted service scope
Maintaining exemplary relationships with client stakeholders
Constantly striving to deliver best in class customer service and a solid platform to enable upselling or cross selling of other Schneider Electric products into our International client base

Commercial Responsibilities:
To achieve contract renewals, both in terms of number of accounts and increased revenue against agreed targets
Act as a subject matter expert to the client; adding value through market data, additional service, product or solution options
To understand the client’s organisation and to establish network links with day to day contact’s management group
Establish that contracted services are being delivered on time and to a satisfactory level.
Identify potential areas of weakness in an account and work to resolution asap with relevant Operational teams
Escalate significant events or issues to Director. Report via regular SWOT reporting routines
Identify areas of potential out of scope service provision which may provide additional opportunities for upsell and increased revenue
Actively promote ESS services not contracted by International client and constantly look for up and cross sell opportunity
Run to ground and win any ’in-house’ opportunities seeking support from Director as required
Pass on and fully support any opportunities that are more suitably positioned via specialist sales resources in our group

Key requirements:

·Degree level education or equivalent
·Proven, extensive international client management experience within a global, energy supply consultancy
·Experience of managing a portfolio of clients with an energy spend in excess of 20 million euros
·Demonstrable track record of cross-selling and up-selling into existing energy clients
·Previous experience of handling a large portfolio of geographically diverse customers; preferably international
·Direct experience of integrated energy software and procurement services solutions delivery to international customers
·Fluent in English with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
