Senior Technical Product Manager, Shopper Marketing (m/f)

AMG's Shopper & Marketing Insights team develops measurement and analytics products; drives platform development and provides consultative research services to advertisers to maximize their success on our platforms. We partner with some of the largest global brands and help them raise the impact of their digital marketing activities on and off Amazon. We are now looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager who can not only help us prototype these new capabilities but also scale them and drive user adoption and business impact.

Specific role responsibilities include:
· Engage internal and external stakeholders and other product managers to identify (prototyping) opportunities, i.e. generate product ideas
· Develop detailed and crisp business requirements for product specifications and service architecture; research options
· Build project proposal, prioritizing on behalf of the customer; define feature sets and measures of success; drive development of prototype
· Support analytics-related prototyping efforts with respect to the technical implementation
· Learn from customer feedback, behavioral measurements, and other data sources to craft better experiences and ensure we are building the right features over time
· Partner with engineering team for development of scaled version of prototype solutions or integration of the same into existing systems


· Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics
· 3+ years hands-on experience as a Software Development Engineer, Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer or Data Scientist
· Advanced Computer literacy. Hands-on experience on at least 2 of the following: SQL, ETL, Python, R, Spark/Scala
· Good understanding of statistics
· Experience in relying on analytics and data to shape product decisions and empower tracking the effectiveness of change
· Passionate about working with huge data sets and bringing data sets together to answer business questions and drive growth
· Loves to challenge the status quo and reinvent on behalf of our customers
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
· Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and be able to implement solutions using these technologies
· Is able to dive deep and is never out of touch with details of the business
· Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
· Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager/ owner mentality
· Track record for being detail-orientated with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects
· Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

· Master in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or Economics
· 5+ years hands-on experience as a Software Development Engineer, Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Engineer or Data Scientist
· A deep industry experience in data warehousing, data marts, OLAP, SQL, R, SPSS, SAS and similar analytical framework
· Experience with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, or Unix shell scripts
· Experience with or willingness to learn distributed systems (Spark, Hadoop)
· A first-hand working knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Science
· 3+ years of relevant experience with ETL, data modelling, and business intelligence architectures
· Strong working knowledge of R and Tableau (experience with Shiny Server or Tableau Server would be a bonus)
· Digital advertising and e-commerce experience would be a bonus
· 2+ years of (technical) product management experience in a technology focused business, i.e. experience with project planning and roadmap delivery, including agile methods, sprint planning, status reports, etc.
· UX and front-end product development experience would be a bonus.
