Prime Now UK Country Leader

DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for an exceptionally motivated and talented Category Leader with a strong customer focus to oversee the UK Prime Now business. This senior leadership position will own the UK P&L for Prime Now, with accountability to shape the strategy and scale the business. They will manage a high performing team for areas such as vendor management, in-stock management, marketing and product management.
Prime Now is Amazon’s Ultra-Fast delivery program for Prime customers, providing 1hr and 2hr delivery for Prime customers on a range of over 15,000 products in multiple cities across the UK, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield, Leeds, Glasgow and Portsmouth.

Your Responsibilities:

Provide leadership for the team and across the company to ensure that the various functions supporting the business have accountability for all important metrics such as selection, pricing, inventory turns, and in-stock rates, marketing efficiency.

Focus on talent management of the team which includes effectively hiring and developing the best talent, and creating an environment which motivates people to thrive in their expertise and deliver aggressive results.

Drive innovation aimed at improving customer experience, and strengthening vendor relationships.
Provide local input to defining the customer experience and customer satisfaction and represent that to senior stakeholders across the company.

Work cross functionally with central company-wide teams in Technology, Operations and Merchant Services to establish the right processes and optimize them to utilize resources most efficiently.

Overcome and solve complex obstacles that may impact the business, effectively escalate issues across all levels in the company.

Focus on providing localized knowledge to EU and US leadership to improve the business by building plans through early identification of the competition, and understanding the customer needs and pushing for features and products that will differentiate the program from others in the local market.

Drive sustainable process improvements across the functions which create year-over-year efficiency in the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Professional experience in an international online retail environment.
· Proven analytical skills and ability to influence people both internally and externally.
· Decisive and able to move with speed to implement ideas.
· A passionate self-starter, ready to take Amazon’s local customer experience to the next level.
· Strong communication skills, including ability to write compelling, concise documents and present your ideas with passion and persuasion.
· Broad commercial awareness developed in a high-growth, fast-moving international retail environment.
· Strong retail or product background with proven ability to drive change.
· Clear evidence of recruiting, managing and developing a team(s), both direct and indirect reports.
· Proven English skills – both verbal and written.
· University degree in engineering, mathematical or a technical discipline.
