Summary

Directs the Aerospace Composite Structures (ACS) sub-division's overall supply chain operations, managing supply and demand of materials through our five shops from purchase of raw materials to distribution of finished goods. Defines and manages commodity strategies and sourcing decisions ensuring business requirements are satisfied. Ensures procurement procedures are in compliance with government laws and regulations, and management objectives. Leads SIOP activities for Supply Chain evaluating past performance data and current demand to forecast needs and production levels. Develops strategic plans to improve predictability, productivity, and profitability of operations. Ensures issues regarding new/existing products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities

Leads ACS sub-division Supply Chain function including procurement, estimating, planning, inventory management, shipping/receiving, logistics, and SIOP (sales, inventory, operations planning) process.
Participates in development of objectives, business plans and strategies and shares responsibility for the general management of the business to achieve ACS targets.
Monitors core supply chain performance including delivery, cost and quality; implements corrective/preventative action as needed. Ensures proper and timely reporting of all necessary KPIs.
Develops and implements procurement strategy plan; identifies potential cost savings and oversees budget, while ensuring compliance with government laws and regulations (domestic/international).
Leads continuous improvement projects across the entire supply chain including development and implementation of appropriate measures of performance. Ensures projects deliver expected outcomes of cost, quality and schedule.
Leads and directs inventory management initiatives in line with company goals.
Implements new business projects within delivery, quality and cost objectives.
Reduces overall supply risk though contingency planning and understanding of supplier capabilities, disaster preparedness, and financial health.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
15+ years’ supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
10+ years of direct people management in a manufacturing supply chain environment

Additional Qualifications

MBA Preferred
CIPS Certification
Proven supplier management, proposal preparation, pricing and ability to influence and persuade internal and external senior management levels.
Knowledge of US Military requirements including but not limited to SBP, TINA, ITAR & EAR
Demonstrated experience implementing lean concepts across multiple site locations (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S, lean processes, Kanban, etc.)
Thorough understanding of material planning and scheduling.
