Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking BIM Manager for their newly formed Global Delivery Centre (GDC), based in Gurugram in India. At present, GDC has a core team of 150+ personnel experienced in Building engineering and Transportation design with further growth underway to meet the plan of establishing 300+ team size, by the end September 2017, to provide technical services in multi-disciplinary building engineering, Architecture and Structural disciplines. In the initial phases of growth, dedicated teams are formed to cater to the needs of UAE and UK offices of AECOM.

BIM Manager must understand the business thoroughly, their primary function is to manage the process of virtually constructing a building and documenting the design contract documents accurately. This would encompass managing a team of production professionals, designers and technicians in a specific discipline and own the BIM-based project deliverable for the duration of the project. It is also critical for them to lead model management and BIM planning, collaboration and coordination on projects they are leading. The position becomes the go-to person on the project for modelling, documentation and verifying design intent during the all stages of design.

Minimum Requirements

Lead the effort of developing all BIM and BIM-generated deliverables on a project basis

Model Management and administration ensuring model health on a project basis

Coach, mentor & supervise all individuals involved through the process of virtually constructing a building by production (modelling & documentation tasks)

Lead BIM Coordination Meetings: Perform spatial coordination of disciplines considering all discipline BIM models on a project

Work with the office Building Engineering Manager in deploying project-templates on specific projects & ensuring team adherence to them

Develop project-specific Revit content for team use, in accordance with the company BIM standard, and liaise with corporate BIM Library managers to submit new content for approval and incorporation into the company-wide content library

Perform model QA/QC tasks

Limited production of models and sheet work, as required

Preferred Qualifications

B Arch or B Eng (or equivalent) preferred
