Inspector - Heavy Equipment Lead


Camp Arifjan, Kuwait

Job Summary

URS/AECOM has an opening for an Inspector, Heavy Equipment Lead in Kuwait.

Identifies all equipment faults (deficiencies/short comings) and records on the maintenance work sheet.

Essential Responsibilities:

Performs initial inspection applicable for inspected items.

Identifies all equipment faults (deficiencies/short comings) and records on the maintenance work sheet with all required repair parts will be listed on the maintenance request.

May be required to diagnose and troubleshoot as needed to support complex maintenance actions.

Components of end items will also be inspected (i.e. rigging equipment, snatch blocks, spare tires, loading ramps, chock blocks, and canvas covers).

Component repairs and engine powered equipment such as contained in or upon major end items will also be inspected during initial inspection.

Perform in-progress and final inspection of maintenance performed to ensure all quality standards have been met.

Prepare Quality Assurance Forms and obtain customer signature of acceptance.

Inspect for proper use of tools, incorrect repair and adjustment procedures, and the proper use of publications.

Trains inspectors on work order system, procedures, processes and customer relations techniques. Issues written and oral instructions and maintains harmony among workers. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements

This is a position with a physical rating of heavy.

Must have 5 years maintenance experience on Heavy Equipment preferably with QA/QC background.

Military maintenance/defense maintenance contracting experience preferred but not required. Civilian candidates with 5 years' Heavy Equipment and quality assurance/quality control, (QA/QC), technical experience are encouraged to apply.

Must be proficient In Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Power Point.

Thorough knowledge of technical publications helpful.

Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a security clearance
