Sr. Program Manager, Programmatic Advertising

The Amazon Advertising Platform (AAP) team is continuing to invest in its Worldwide Online Display Advertising business to tap into the growing online advertising market. AAP are looking for a Program Manager who will help to define and deliver the next generation advertising platform and products. The Program Manager will work hands-on to drive adoption of AAP products, including strategic planning, product innovation, market research, competitive analysis, product requirements, customer interviews, and product delivery in partnership with the technology and business teams. The ideal candidate is agile enough to thrive in an environment that blends a responsibility for not only envisioning creative solutions, but leverages a data-driven approach to validate these ideas.

Specific Responsibilities include:
· You will work from the customer backward to develop product strategy, product definition, forecasting, pricing, and positioning for Amazon’s ability to deliver successful cross-platform performance advertising campaigns.
· Define what our advertisers and agencies want from our core display advertising product, including how it’s packaged, how it’s targeted, how it’s tracked, and how it’s reported.
· You will manage products through initial launch and follow-on releases, identifying dependencies and clearing blockers to help drive client adoption and retention.
· Think big to define opportunities for advertising in a fragmented digital landscape.
· Provide in-depth market, industry, and opportunity analysis. Own the process for understanding customer needs and market segmentation.
· Help define and drive the overall product strategy and roadmap.
· Own portions of the roadmap for our advertising platform and products.
· Provide a strong sense of ownership and focus on execution.
· Manage partner relationships and ongoing programs to maximize performance and meet business objectives.
· Develop product requirements for new initiatives.
· Work across teams in a dynamic environment made up of business leaders, finance, other product leaders, analysts, designers, engineers, business development leaders, partners and, most importantly, customers.


· Demonstrable experience in program and project management with success in delivering results within a complex product environment.
· Proven experience in online advertising and ad technologies.
· Experience working with development teams to define, scope, and prioritize product requirements.
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent a plus


· Strong analytical skills.
· Strong project management and organizational skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication abilities: must effectively communicate with technical and non-technical people. Passionate about generating big, creative ideas for online media, growing the business and working with advertisers and agencies to build innovative products.
· A passionate advocate for customers and their needs.
· Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality and an entrepreneurial drive; demonstrated ability to have fun and inspire team.
