Amazon is currently seeking a Business Development leader to help us grow Amazon Video through the creation and management of strategic partnerships. In particular, this role will focus on creating partnerships with MVPDs, set top box manufacturers and SoC, hardware and middleware providers.

Amazon Video is delivering award winning original programming and leading the industry transition to 4K UHD and HDR. We are changing the way customers interact with video content with the launch of Video subscriptions and rollout of the service to more than 200 countries worldwide. Amazon believes deeply in the mission of Amazon Video and we have launched our own studio to create original and exclusive content.

As the Principal, Business Development, Amazon Video your responsibilities will include the following:
· Successfully negotiate partnership agreements, from first contact through to signed contracts.
· Oversee successful implementation and optimization of all agreements and projects.
· Drive strategic initiatives in the video distribution space.
· Develop a go-to-market distribution plan and prioritize partners appropriately.
· Manage long-term strategic initiatives as well as the tactical and day-to-day.
· Coordinate closely with local management, technology teams and with worldwide video product teams.
· Coordinate with other Amazon business development teams to leverage established relationships and present a unified vision to our partners.
· Report on plans and results to senior management, and coordinate closely with various internal stakeholders.
· Develop a scalable partner program that allows Amazon to efficiently engage all potential distribution partners for Amazon Video.
· Manage global marketing and customer acquisition strategy with partners.
· Drive customer experience projects on partner platforms.
· Improve automation and team efficiency across all functions.

Successful candidates will have experience working with external partners, negotiating complex agreements, demonstrate excellent relationship management and have a strong will to deliver results. Key attributes to success also include:
· Ability to think, analyse and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
· Proven negotiating skills and influencing abilities
· Superior communication skills, high attention to detail, flexibility and willingness to be resourceful
· Excellent organisational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
· Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. A history of identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs.
· Good relationships with distribution partners, ideally from a selection of the following: CE companies, game consoles, handsets, set top boxes, SOC and Middleware, broadband service providers, telcos, and wireless operators
· Experience and track record of success with overseeing technical integrations and comfortable with technology
· Excellent business judgment
· Proven ability to analyse market opportunities, engage and negotiate with strategic customers and define news areas of innovation
· High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
Analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, and a strong will to get things done and deliver results.


· Proven experience in partnership development / business development.
· Excellent working knowledge of the OTT Video industry and set top box channel as well as strong network of existing contacts.
· Strong bias for action, and ability to work independently toward stated goals with minimal oversight.
· Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management both internally and externally, as well evidence of creating and executing complex, multi-partner deals.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree minimum; MBA or further engineering or analytical education will be advantageous
· Fluent written and spoken English essential
