Senior Consultant - Asset Management and Regulatory Performance

AECOM is looking for a candidate with significant Asset Management and Regulatory Performance experience to work as a senior consultant in our growing UK Water asset management.

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years experience of strategic asset management and regulatory experience in the Utilities sector. The candidate must have a detailed understanding of water industry regulation, reporting and asset performance.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Managing and contributing to strategic asset management and regulatory advice projects;

Acting as a water utilities regulatory specialist within the AECOM asset management team

Contributing to our wider asset management work including understanding and cleansing client data, data analytics, risk and criticality assessment, renewal and maintenance prioritisation, and capital programme development

Ensuring outputs from our asset management work line up with regulatory requirements

Able to make asset management and regulatory presentations to all levels of client accounts but especially to senior management and director level audiences

Reviewing the work of and guiding/mentoring junior engineers and technologists

Coordinating with clients and stakeholders

Attending client meetings and assisting with determination of project requirements and coordinating internal team members as required

Leading and preparing proposals

Working with the Asset Management Director, take a lead in our water UK team on regulatory advice to water companies

Monitoring projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures

Effectively and accurately communicating relevant project information to the client and project team

Ensuring clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner

Tracking & managing project scope changes

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Applied Science.

10years’ experience in asset management and regulation in the UK water industry

Significant experience in completing asset management and regulatory projects, with client side knowledge of what is required.

Ability to manipulate and visualise data using a range of software, including an aptitude to learn and apply new software

Preferred Qualifications

Degree qualified in Engineering, Information Technology or Applied Science.

Project Management experience including PMP

Proficient with recognised asset management planning standards

Familiar with PAS 55 and ISO 5500 standards

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, GIS, data analytics

Excellent written and verbal communication skill
