Arup

Winchester, United Kingdom

Arup is an employee owned firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services. Our mission is to shape a better world.

For over 65 years we have continued to pioneer distinctive creative structural designs. We maintain our reputation because our independent structure empowers us to pursue projects driven by our wider social responsibility and to invest in the industry-leading skills and expertise of our staff.

An exciting opportunity is open to join the Building Structures team in Winchester and play a key role in building the business by delivering a range of projects. Our Structural Engineers apply their specialist skills to buildings projects across the globe including schools and universities, sports and leisure facilities, government, commercial and industrial buildings. We follow the philosophy of Total Architecture, in which all elements of the design process are in harmony and in balance, and to our engineers this means working collaboratively within the design team, in particular with Architects and contractors.

We are currently recruiting for a Structural Engineer to join our well-established team. You will work as part of project teams to deliver effective and professional services to our clients. Due to the multi-disciplinary nature of our design teams, you will have the opportunity to work alongside Architects, Building Services and Geotechnical Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers.

• Co-ordinating and liaising with engineers in other areas of the business in a variety of disciplines
• Facilitating and organising meetings and CPD training events to contribute to your own development and the development of others
• Representing Arup in links with local schools and universities
