Transport Supervisor - Hemel Hempstead - Amazon Transport Services

Amazon Logistics is looking to hire an experienced, highly committed, and customer-obsessed Transport Coordinator. As Transport Coordinator you will play a critical role in supporting the Transport Management Team in the day to day running of the Transport Department, ensuring targets and service deadlines are met whilst adhering to legislation. As a member of the UK Transportation team you will be responsible for optimising the transportation and delivery network to meet with the strategic network plan.


As Transport Coordinator you will be responsible for:
· Liaise with sellers, carriers and sort centers to produce and manage achievable transport plans on a daily, weekly basis
· Daily management of day-day operations
· Both written and verbal communication with internal departments,
· Analysing data from haulage companies and creating reports,
· Working with sales team to drive seller performance
· Taking calls from internal and external suppliers and sellers,
· Maintain a high level of service for both customers and suppliers,
· Research improvement initiatives and incidents and update relevant team members.
· Monitoring the ‘carrier trackers’ for any late arrivals into sort and coordinating with sort to ensure CPTs are met.
· Monitoring the inbox and dealing with any emails from sales/sellers/hauliers
· Create node, rate, route and SGE in FMC
· Also monitor seller volumes to reduce the risk of potential bulk outs from seller collections. This helps assisting with the planning, routing and vehicle size used for collections.


· Strong computer literacy and ability to understand and manage Excel data reports
· Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal ability to manage and deal with unplanned situations
· Excellent customer service skills and clear commercial understanding
· Sound problem solving skills and able to use own initiatives
· Ability to adapt to change, identify risks and manage them appropriately
· Good analytical skills
· Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
· Must be flexible and able to work different shifts if required
· Excellent skills of working well under pressure in a busy business environment, using organized time management skills effectively


· Previous experience in logistics or transportation industry
· Degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or related field
· Excellent computer knowledge (Microsoft office), data entry, research tools and SQL
· Experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments
· Data management & data quality control experience with experience pulling and analyzing large sets of data
· Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement
· Good knowledge of following guidelines, protocols and standard operating procedure
