Facilities Manager

Role Purpose
Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities, the Facilities Manager is responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, building and other facilities. The position plans, budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labor material and other related costs.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:

- Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services, and facility expansion.
- Manages local resources and carries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Assists in boarding, assimilation and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Plans budgets and scheduled facility modifications, including cost estimates.
Initiates planned maintenance programs for a variety of office equipment.
- Manages the receiving function.
- Manages preventive maintenance of facility equipment including HVAC and office equipment.
- Manages the telecommunications function.
- Oversees the parking program.
- Oversees the cleaning and maintenance of facility.
- Develops and administer the annual budget.
- Supervises various contracting crews and building maintenance personnel.
- Ensure a safe working environment by coordinating employee training, conducting on site assessments, and maintaining subcontractor compliance.
- Evaluate, develop, implement, and manage process improvements that support our customer and company overall goals.
- Flexibility to be on call and work weekends, as required.
- Perform other related duties, as required.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Required Qualifications:

- 5+ years of facilities management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Associate’s degree OR additional 10+ years of facilities management experience in manufacturing in lieu of degree.

Additional Qualifications:

- CFM (Certified Facilities Manager) or other trade certification.
- Experience in aerospace/aircraft industry.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Demonstrated ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Good writing skill for routine correspondence.
- Ability to prepare and interpret routine reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint
