Amazon is where women work

Senior Product Manager - Technical

Amazon

London, United Kingdom

DESCRIPTION

Have you ever ordered a product on Amazon and when that box with the smile arrives you wonder how it got to you so fast? Wondered where it came from and how much it would have cost Amazon? If so, the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) team is for you. We build systems that peer into the future and decide what, when, where, and how much we should buy to make our customers happy and meet Amazon’s business goals. When customers place orders, our systems use real time, large scale optimization techniques to choose where to ship from and how to consolidate multiple orders, so that customers get their shipments on time or faster. We do this for millions of products worth billions of dollars worldwide. Our systems are built entirely in-house and are on the cutting edge of inventory management automation. We are simultaneously developing the science of supply chain planning and solving some of the toughest computational challenges at Amazon, creating ever more intelligent and self-learning systems to maximize the efficiency of Amazon's inventory investment and placement decisions.

We are seeking a passionate, results-oriented Senior Product Manager who thrives on solving complex problems. Leading a team of Business Intelligence Engineers, you will build automated tools and processes that determine whether our forecasting and buying systems are taking optimal decisions across Europe, and help senior business leaders to understand the gap between predictions and actuals in our long-range forecasts. Do you think you are up to the challenge? Would you like to learn more and stretch your skills and career? Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. They will enjoy diving deep into technical issues, discovering root causes, and building innovative long-term software solutions.
