Job Summary
We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer for our Teeside office.
The main purpose of the role will be the delivery of the Mechanical services and new installation projects to programme, budget and specification, whilst working with a Principal engineer and to undertake projects from concept through to final account and be responsible for interacting with the the project team, provision of Consultant briefs, work specifications and CAD drawings, reports, tender analysis, value engineering, supervision of contractors on site, commissioning and handover.
You will assist in developing creative engineering designs to achieve Client’s aspirations, communicate and co-ordinate works with contractors and develop and communicate business leads.

Main Responsibilities

• Technical designer in the Team
• To prepare detailed Mechanical Services designs
• To prepare written specifications NBS and traditional, for each project
• To guide, lead and mentor, junior staff members
• Lead innovation and change
• To prepare project programmes using Microsoft Project
• To arrange and chair effective project meetings, keeping minutes and progressing actions arising
• Track costs for valuations, certificates and payments
• Carry out site inspections of contract works on site
• Assist in the contract administration of the schemes
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and be responsible for consultation with internal clients
• Be prepared to work away from home for short periods
• Demonstrate a fundamental enthusiasm for engineering.
• Administer and Design and Deliver Mechanical Engineering Design Services for refurbishment and new installation projects in the MEICA Team. This will include the development and maintenance of effective systems for the monitoring of the contract, delivering and creating constructive relationships with Clients and Contactors to meet Contract compliance

General Responsibilities

• Monitor the project program’s in order to deliver the objectives set by the Associate and monitor and review service provision and delivery.
• Production of project concepts
• Production of Mechanical designs
• Production of Mechanical calculations
• Work Collaboratively with staff across the UK and Europe
• Delivery of corporate objectives and policies
• Meet all Health and Safety requirements, ensuring continuous commitment to good safe working practices
• Excellent knowledge of Building Regulations, Part L, C.I.B.S.E Guides and energy targeting systems
• Have experience relating to policy and standards, design and construction
• A genuine interest in sustainable design and low energy buildings
• Solid understanding of construction principles
• Experience of inspections and surveys

Minimum Requirements
You will need to be enthusiastic, dynamic, confident, showing a real passion for engineering, having a solid background in Mechanical Services Engineering. You will need to be able to adapt their knowledge and base skills, across multiple engineering sectors, delivering complex and demanding projects in,

 Transportation

You shall be able to provide designs from bare concept and integrate and develop engineering solutions with large project teams of varying disciplines. Being familiar with Virtual Team Working the person shall possess well developed communications skills comfortable with working in a multi-platform communications environment.

Preferred Qualifications
Ideally Degree Qualified, a member of CIBSE, a Chartered or Incorporated engineer. Or HND level with at least 10 years practical experience across sites and demonstrable experience in a Contractors main design office, looking to work in a Consulting Environment and complete professional registration.
