Purpose of the role:
Europe Demand Procurement delivers significant contribution towards Diageo Europe productivity and growth goals. The team is seeking to deliver year on year cost reduction through aggregation of spend, category knowledge and productivity efficiencies.

Scope of the team is Europe region across all marketing categories. (Create, adapt, Customer, media, Sponsorship, I&A, research, Experiential, VAP, BTL)

Reporting to the European Head of Demand Procurement, the core activities of this role are:

Build the analytical tools and market intelligence for the procurement function – maintain databases.
Development of the category costs models to provide in depth market analysis and understanding, anticipate and monitor of the cost drivers.
Drive Procurement Codification. Standardization and simplification of the overall procurement processes and activities.
Lead the BPM process and reporting. Definition of a set of KPIs to monitor the category performance (O&Rs, Dashboards, etc.)
Manage Procurement projects in coordination with category managers.
Key connection with the GDBS finance, analysts team and Tactical teams

Complexity of the Role:

Europe role, multiple cultures, country regulations and different market dynamics.
Requires comprehensive understanding of business processes end to end, enhanced with strong analytical mindset
Requires ability to prioritize
Requires agility to deliver with agility

Qualifications & Experience required:

Educated to degree standard with preference for a marketing, business or Procurement related qualification
Fluent in English
Strong analytical skills
Methodical and structured way of working, good project management skills.
Financial deep knowledge to understand budgets complexity (fragmented) and savings methodology
Good working knowledge of SAP and end to end knowledge of the Source to Pay processes
Proactive and hands-on focus
Ability to overcome setbacks and self-motivated to deliver
Highly skilled user of Microsoft office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc

Inability to manage data accurately and at speed
Inability to work across many teams
