Summary:

To define, plan, design and refine fixtures, data and processes necessary to facilitate and control the manufacture of products in the St. Louis facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:

Plans, creates, verifies and revises machine control data and documentation that direct the operation for multi-axis numerically controlled machines and robots required to manufacture and inspect complex parts and tools.
Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical expertise to cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
Defines and designs complex fixtures used to manufacture or inspect parts.
Plans, guides and facilitates the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods or inspection techniques, processes and software.
Continuously improves the quality of manufacturing processes and supplier-provided work.
Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance
Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in N/C Programming, Manufacturing Technology or equivalent and 2+ years of previous N/C programming experience; OR 4+ years of N/C programming experience in lieu of degree.
2+ years of experience using CAD/CAM systems to analyze and modify part models and produce programs.

Additional Qualifications:

Unigraphics and/or CATIA are the preferred systems.
Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
Vericut experience
Familiarity with UNIX and/or Windows NT/2000 environments is highly desirable
5 axis gantry experience
