Regional Costing Lead - AWeDrive

Role Purpose
The role supports AWD/eDrive Director Costing and Programme and works closely with Costing team, plant finance teams, Bid Team and all other functions (especially Account teams and Programme Management) on all financial aspects of costing (America).

Costing Lead provides support to evaluate customer/programme margin analysis, programme profitability tracking, cost tasks to recover profitability

Key Responsibilities
Provide support to the Product Stream with complete, accurate and timely financial costing information (from NBAS to Mass production) to support business development and the decision making process
Standardize and further develop costing knowledge
Support AWD/eDrive Director Costing to prepare financial information to formulate strategies with respect to product profitability, capital investment, and other strategic planning activities
Investigate and identify cost reduction opportunities through cost analysis review
Provide support on cost breakdown preparation
Develop and maintain skills and professionalism in the costing network within the Product Stream
support Plants on annual calculation of Standard Costs
prepare monthly Programme trackings (Cat 1 and Cat 2) highlighting gaps in profitability
Utilise cost methodologies and tools and appropriate software to prepare and maintain reliable and accurate data. Key focus is VCOR data reliability in America
Share costing best practises within the Product Stream
Be involved in: 1) Program cost update from NBAS to SOP; 2) Standard Costing – Assurance of standard costs for all products, alignement with Divisional Standard and reconciliation with Budget P&L; 3) Gross Margin Management – VCor application in all plants, Vcor data reliability; 4) VA/VE costing; 5) Make vs Buy

Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Finance, Business Administration or Engineering)

4-5 years experience as a Plant Controller, Costing Manager or strong controlling responsibilities

Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot table), Word, Power Point. Knowledge of VCOR, IDash, Qlikview and Product Costing.

Results focused with good written and oral English communications skills;

Leadership and charisma; flexible; result oriented

Ability to work independently
Self Starter
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Willingness to travel to the plants in NC and OH initially 50-75% settling down to 25% travel on a regular basis
