Project Controls Specialist

Job Summary
AECOM is looking for a Project Controls Specialist.

The Project Controls Specialist will assist in developing and managing the systems, procedures and tools necessary for control of time and cost of the program, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), delay analysis, planning / scheduling, earned value management, cost estimating, and contract management.t.

Job Duties:
Providing assistance to projects for issues related to project cost and time.
Developing and managing project reporting formats and procedures.
Providing an oversight for development, review and monitoring of project schedules, and the master program schedule incorporating the individual project schedules.
Coordinating the preparation and maintenance of budgets and cost estimates.
Coordinating the development and maintenance of WBS and development of schedules and budget data for WBS elements.
Providing recommendations to manage project risks and improve the financial performance of the project.
Supporting the project team in maintaining timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems.
Developing and maintaining status reports including schedule status, financial analysis, cost performance and earned value reports.
Developing and managing the system, structure and tools for document management systems.
Monitoring and reporting the actual progress of the work versus the planned work. Monitor actual production rates and compare with plan.
Managing and coordinating meetings / workshops both internal and external.
Support in the preparation of sub-agreements.
Support in fulfilling internal AECOM requirements and processes.
Coordinating and implementing Quality Assurance procedures
Upon receiving the required training, become able to efficiently operate AECOM management systems (ePM / APIC)

Specific Skills Required

Flexibility and breadth of experience and knowledge across the engineering field
Experience in the coordination and management of projects from proposal development to completion, including periodic project reviews
Proven ability to work within a team and support multi-disciplinary project teams
Strong financial and budget management skills
Strong attention to detail

Person Specification (Behavioral Attributes)

High level organizational and team coordination and management skills
Ability to foster a team environment and practice open communication, a collaborative approach and work commitment
Ability to be part of a team and eventually lead
Safety awareness

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in engineering, planning and project coordination/management.

Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related subject is required.
