Direct Marketing Manager

The pace at which create and release fantastic Original content is only growing. As of now customers can engage with great titles such as American Gods, The Grand Tour and Man in the High Castle in over 200 countries and on a plethora of devices.

The European marketing team for Amazon Prime Video is based in Central London and we have the responsibility of driving customer growth and engagement, through a very broad combination of marketing channels across Europe. While our office is based in London, our remit is EU-wide and we collaborate very closely with our colleagues in the US. We’ve grown rapidly in both size and influence and we’re looking for a future leader to join us.

As a Direct Marketing Manager you’ll be responsible for conceptualizing, executing and continually improving direct marketing campaigns across email, push notifications and direct mail. Through strategic thinking, strong data driven customer insight, and operational excellence, you’ll increase engagement and acquisition rates for millions of customers across Europe. You'll maximize scale and efficiency of this exciting growth area on an international scale. You will collaborate with teams around the globe to help define strategy that can be globalized for your channels.

You will have shown that you can work autonomously and be as comfortable handling details as you are thinking big. You will have demonstrable expertise in driving data-driven direct marketing strategy as well as campaign execution end-to-end. You will have shown you’re able to work in a dynamic environment and can deliver results at pace. At Amazon customer obsession is key, which means we fully own the messages communicated to customers and how they’re presented, we don’t outsource to external communications agencies.

Key Accountabilities:
· Own campaigns from end to end – manage targeting and segmentation, messaging, content and design, planning, localization, build, execution and reporting
· Ensure campaigns are executed to the highest standard, on time and on budget
· Manage a continuous, meticulously planned and documented testing plan
· Deliver consistent channel growth and performance improvements against key metrics across a range of campaigns and across multiple regions
· Writing up proposals, testing roadmaps and campaign reviews with a monthly overall review of progress against targets
· Deep dive analysis working with BI to understand campaign performance
· Work closely with other marketing channels within Amazon to ensure key launches and partnerships are supported
· Work closely with your international counterparts to ensure consistent global standards and to share and learn
· Work closely with engagement and acquisition product teams


· A degree level graduate or equivalent achievement
· Strong and resourceful problem-solver in a varied and fast-paced environment
· Excellent written English and presentation skills
· Commitment to quality and accuracy
· Excellent organizational skills
· Confidence in written and verbal communication, to all levels of management
· Ability to learn and adapt quickly
· Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
· Advanced experience of analytical tools


· Background in strategic planning and execution of holistic direct marketing campaigns
· Background in marketing a global offering with a targeted localized approach
· Experience of push notification marketing
· Project management skills
