Senior Vendor Manager

We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Vendor Manager with proven experience in leadership and strategic thinking for our fast-growing same-day delivery service, Amazon Prime Now. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a groundbreaking new initiative at Amazon in its earliest stage.

This position will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of our cross-platform partner for Prime Now in UK. Responsibilities include driving UK expansion, coordinating with senior internal and external stakeholders cross-platform to resolve vendor issues and growing the business and managing vendor P&L. The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships with our strategic partner at senior levels, influence effectively, think strategically and problem solve effectively . This role interacts closely with multiple retail channels and operations business partners across Amazon, and is pivotal to the growth of this strategic initiative.

Amazon Prime Now is a fast growing, dynamic, and high impact category. The ideal candidate will be naturally curious, have a high level of flexibility and commitment, and a strong drive to win. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, great communicator and negotiator, and will have the business judgment and analytical horsepower to break down complex problems, the willingness to roll up his or her sleeves and a strong interest in Amazon’s retail business. Additionally, this leader will be working with senior leaders of a large, high profile vendor in areas such as strategic planning and contract negotiations, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial, innovative, and excel at “thinking big,” while also recognizing the need to coordinate his or her team’s activities within the established structure of a large, fast-growing company. Defining and implementing long term business strategies based on industry trends and competitive analysis and the ability to think outside of the box to solve complex problems are key to success.

· Manage overall vendor relationship to deliver the best offer and service for customers
· Continuously invent and optimise to achieve successful and scalable model
· Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines
· Have an understanding of the industry, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments
· Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability goals


· Bachelor Degree required
· Proficiency in Excel and data analysis
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence others internally and externally.
· Outstanding organizational, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
· Demonstrated positive, results oriented attitude.
· Excellent team player capable of learning and sharing knowledge in a team environment.


• Consumables experience preferred
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills that enable you to earn trust at all levels.
• Superior analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs
• Extreme attention to detail and willingness to roll up your sleeves.
• Online experience preferred.
• Proven experience leading teams & cross-functional projects.
