Maintenance Engineer

Role Purpose
This role is based in Filton, Bristol
Operate as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer working as part of a team to achieve maximum

effectiveness and efficiency of machine tool/plant breakdown repairs, calibration, planned

scheduled maintenance and all associated tasks, within the Maintenance


· To optimise machinery performance through schedule and TPM maintenance.

· To action CIP that are identified with local management.

· CNC/PLC fault finding / diagnostics.

· Alignments and calibration

· Maintenance and repair of control gear and motors

· Maintenance and repair of pneumatic and hydraulic systems

Compliance with all risk assessments and company Environment, Health & Safety procedures relevant to all work activities

Reporting of all incidents, accidents and near misses as per the company’s procedure and implementation of identified corrective actions

Maintain good standards of housekeeping in designated work area(s)

Champion ‘Export Control’ compliance activities, ensuring you and where applicable, members of your team, adhere to the site ‘Technical Control Plan (TCP)’, guaranteeing compliance with Export Control Regulations, controls, training and systems.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills
Technicians level qualification (HNC or City & Guilds Part 3). Have a good knowledge of

maintenance on both CNC and conventional machines. Must be self-motivated, working without

direct supervision. Good communication skills are essential within the working team and to the


· Knowledge of PLC and CNC control systems

· Minimum of 5 years experience, electrically bias, in the maintenance and repair of

manufacturing plant and machinery

Export Control understanding and regulatory requirements
