Job Summary
URS, an AECOM Company, was awarded the Unmanned Aircraft System Operation Center Support (UASOCS) contract supporting multiple locations worldwide and with Operations based at Creech AFB, NV.

RPA SATCOM Communications Electronic Technician provides operations and maintenance to a deployed staff (OCONUS location) supporting the US Air Force, Air Combat Command, Unmanned Aircraft Systems Operations Support. The Communication Electronics Technician will provide overall SATCOM site services at the assigned location and report directly to the RPA SATCOM Site Lead. Tasks include, but are not limited to: • Interface with Site Lead, Government and contract leadership in performing and reporting scheduled and unscheduled operations and maintenance tasks, provide customer support as required, and perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED. Must possess and maintain an Active TS clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidate must possess a High School Diploma (or equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience with one (1) year relevant experience in DOD C4I programs. Candidate must possess an active TS clearance. DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Certification, Technician Level II and DoD 8570.01-M Technician Level II network environment (NE) and advanced level computing environment (CE) certifications is required. Other Essential Functions/Requirements: Possess effective communication skills by conveying clear, concise and accurate information. Must have ability to work well with office staff and customer representatives. Possess familiarity/proficiency with a personal computer, printer/scanner, secure and non-secure telephone, fax machine, and other office equipment and standard supplies. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.Must be able to travel to support position requirements. This may include travel to and from customer locations, which may involve airline travel. In some cases, accommodations can be made for POV with prior approval. Possess a valid state issued driver's license.

Physical Requirements: Working at a computer, desk, equipment racks, etc. (Considerations: sitting, standing, eyes, hands). May involve long periods of sitting or standing depending on current tasking. Must be able to carry a maximum of 35lbs and climb 2 flights of 10 stairs. May be exposed to areas of high noise levels.
Work Environment: Work involves an inside office environment/cubicle and may include some periods working outside. (Considerations: closed quarters, close together, limited lighting, outside environmental such as cold, dirt, dust, precipitation, and heat). Must be able to commute between buildings to support work requirements. Independent transportation necessary to support work requirements and to arrive at work site. No hazards on job site or any unusual environmental condition exists.
Equipment and Machines: Possess familiarity/proficiency with a personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, laser printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies. Possess knowledge/proficiency with the suite of Microsoft Office products.

Attendance: Full-time regular work hours between Monday-Friday, on-call 24/7 with company issued cellphone, or designated representative on-call 24/7. Position may require occasional weekend or evening work depending on task requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
(Associate’s degree is preferable) in an appropriate discipline (Engineering, Electronics, Technical Management, etc.) from an accredited college or university.
Experience in supporting/maintaining satellite/remote split operations (RSO) communications (i.e. Tactical Field Terminals; Fixed Site SATCOM Terminal; SATCOM Earth Terminal Sub-System; Ground Multi-ban Terminals) is highly desired.
