Geomatics Delivery Manager

Job Summary
To act as Geomatics Delivery Manager providing leadership to the UK national Geomatics team and reporting to the Head of Geomatics. The post holder will provide guidance and leadership to staff within the discipline across the UK offices.
Internally the Geomatics Delivery Manager will provide strong technical support to the teams in terms of adopting various delivery standards (Network Rail Specification etc), working to streamline the BIM process and whole life cycle of data from fieldwork to design stage, work with design teams and clients to deliver optimal data sets and align all offices onto standard working practices. The Geomatics Delivery Manager will actively participate in project delivery including some site works and contribute to the delivery of data to clients.

Engagement with other senior staff necessary to discharge these duties will be as follows:
Head of Geomatics: Have a close working relationship to deliver services across the country as needed.
Other regional Managers: Work across the country in developing resources efficiently.
Operations Manager: Strategy and Growth in relation to delivery and work winning
Project Managers: Quality, Delivery and program.
Client Engagement: Meet clients and stakeholders in a technical capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
Project and Quality Delivery/Staff Development
Oversee the technical quality of work carried out by the national team and ensure that a consistent and acceptable level of quality is provided by each office.
Ensure that the technical processes and procedures for the delivery of discipline outputs are robust and updated as and when appropriate. Ensure that refined technical processes and procedures are in place. Develop and maintain standardised delivery processes to ensure consistency of outputs in the discipline.
Work closely with Project managers to ensure that the quality of work carried out locally on projects is to a level expected from our Clients.

Client Engagement
Promote externally the capacity and capability of the discipline team and actively seek project and service opportunities.
Maintain close, personal, contact with key clients undertaking a formal programme of local client reviews on a regular basis. Have a detailed understanding of the local geomatics market.
Work closely with other local business Lines to promote the whole of AECOM’s expertise in the discipline to clients.

Skills and Experience
A leader and champion of the discipline with excellent cross sector geomatics industry knowledge (rail knowledge required as a minimum).
Ability to implement new processes and procedures.
Mobile and visible across all AECOM offices and a good people person.
Nationally based with weekly visits to Geomatics offices or projects

Minimum Requirements
Clean UK driving License.
Ideally a Chartered Surveyor with the RICS or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications
PTS qualification.
