Information Technology (IT) Manager

Role Purpose
Role Purpose: Provides technical leadership to internal and external IT support.

Role Scope: Americas Region; Role is regional in nature, but may also be asked to work on global or local projects as required.

Key Responsibilities

-Manage IT staff for seven facilities in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania
-Good leadership skills to guide and mentor staff
-Provides technical leadership to appropriate personnel on highly complex system administration activities. Provides technical solutions and escalated support for non-routine, highly complex technical issues.
-Work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
-Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
-Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, business systems, standard and custom software, and peripherals.
-Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
-Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
-Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, backup, and disaster recovery, standards, purchasing and service provision.
-Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment.
Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the plant management and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

Formal Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Five or more years of management and IT technical experience

Soft Skills and Other Competencies:

Experience working with highly complex system implementations and organizational processes
Proficient with Microsoft Office products
Proficient with Microsoft Operating Systems
Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills, including conflict resolution
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated flexibility and teamwork
Experience working in a mixed factory/office environment preferred
Ability to work effectively in a team environment – to effectively listen, challenge and communicate
Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take initiative, including performance of duties exercising independent judgement
Ability to work directly with upper management in a fast paced environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong problem solving and project management skills
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Ability to manage and function in a multiple reporting relationship structure
Ability to travel
