Principal Technical Product Manager, Amazon Video

Amazon Video is on the forefront of disrupting the video entertainment industry, launching Prime Video worldwide in over 200 countries and territories and offering customers a unified experience for Prime content, transactional VOD, and 3rd party subscriptions via Amazon Channels.

Amazon is seeking a dynamic product leader to own the process of distributing the Amazon Video living room app to third-party devices such as smart TVs and set-top boxes. This leader will be responsible for defining the product strategy and vision and develop product roadmaps to make it fast and easy for the world's leading consumer electronics companies and other partners to make Amazon Video available on all of their devices. This leader will also own integration of exciting new device-specific features such as search integration to give our millions of customers a great experience discovering and enjoying new content.

This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, program management, design, finance, legal, business development, customer service, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our existing products and features.

In this role you will:
· Develop, manage, and lead the strategy for the distribution of Amazon Video's living room app
· Develop a thorough understanding of the digital video market segments, and continually assess the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends
· Partner with key stakeholders to define the product vision, roadmap and supporting metrics required to ensure that customers can enjoy Amazon Video on their preferred living room device
· Own the development of detailed product requirements documents.
· Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and program management teams to deliver on the product roadmap.
· Drive projects, products, and feature launches with teams both inside and outside of the Amazon Video team including: business development, content acquisition, legal, marketing, finance, customer service, and operations.


· 7+ years of relevant work experience in Product Management
· High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
· Superior verbal and written communications skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
· Proven ability to work independently to drive projects to completion
· Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
· Bachelor’s degree required


· 5+ years total experience in service platforms, metadata systems, analytics, software, video technology or consumer electronics
· Exceptional passion for delivering world-class customer experiences
· Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap
· Insatiable will to get stuff done
· Experience in using Kaizen and Lean
· Knowledgeable in technology development best practices (such as Agile)
· MBA Preferred.
