Reporting to the HR Manager at our Altringcham Fulfilment Centre, you will play a critical role in delivering the HR plan. You will manage a team of HR Advisors, a Senior HR Assistant and HR Associate Contacts in order to deliver the core HR operational activity on site to deliver engaged associates, inspiring leaders and excellent employee relations practice. Working closely with the HR Manager and Employee Relations team you will ensure excellent standards across all aspects of HR operations. You will utilize your excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills to drive employee engagement and continuous improvement across all core HR metrics, ensuring that we retain motivated teams of employees who can deliver an excellent service to our customers by developing managers into inspiring leaders. Whatever you will focus on, it will all be aimed at delivering the highest quality service to our internal and external customers.

General Scope of Role:
The HRDM works as an integral part of the HR and wider site management team and supports the operation of the FC by contributing to the delivery of the HR plan, playing a pivotal role by leading the HRC, SHRA and HRAC teams to execute the delivery plan for HR operations.
As the HRDM, you will be the principal HR point of contact for the site Associate Forum, coaches and develops the HR Operations team ensuring best practice delivery of all core people processes on site. Additionally you will audit all core HR processes to ensure rigor and compliance, be the custodian of the associate experience on site, act as the site ER Subject Matter Expert and proxy for the HRM when required. You will act autonomously and in the absence of the HRM, you are willing and able to take decisions which have site-wide impact and you are able to influence senior relationships; can set own priorities and plans; uses one-to-ones to develop thought-process and critical thinking.

As the HRDM you will not only role model, translate and coach leadership principles during your interactions with associates, leaders and through the onboarding process for new hires but will also identify trends, build strategies and practices that ensure adoption of leadership principles and values across site. You will also actively coach, and be respected for coaching others outside of your immediate business area, including senior leaders; acting as a critical business partner.
Organisational Development and Planning
As the HRDM you will understand local site strategy and how this interfaces with country and regional plans as well as annual business strategy and business performance measurements i.e. OP1/OP2/R&O goals – applying change management approach to the development and implementation of local and country led strategies. You will provide data and feedback for the (S)HRM and HRBPs to the site strategy, partnering on translating this into execution. You will use business knowledge to inform and set HR performance goals for business and/or site as well as developing and implementing communication plans for organizational changes.


The successful candidate will be progressive, hands-on and customer-obsessed with the credibility and gravitas to succeed in a fast moving and customer-focused commercial environment.
The successful candidate will:
· Have significant HR experience at HR Manager / Head of HR Operations level, ideally within a high volume, fast paced and customer focussed environment
· Possess problem solving and analytical capability; experience of managing and analysing HR metrics to find root causes and develop short, medium and long-term plans
· Have the ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels
· Have a proven hands-on attitude, be flexible and adaptable.
· Demonstrate the ability to motivate others and influence work behaviours
· Possess strong change management, negotiation and influencing skills
· Have intellectual curiosity, bringing valuable insight into the team / business
· Be experienced in managing a team of HR professionals


· Ideally both degree and CIPD qualified.

· Good understanding of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel) and HR information systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) would be advantageous.
