Applying an advanced knowledge and experience of IT internal auditing, to provide comprehensive assistance to IADE in the implementation of the audit mission statement:

“To provide independent and objective assurance and consultancy that is designed to add value and improve Mizuho Bank’s use and operation of Information Technology (IT). The role will provide a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the risk management and governance processes for IT.”

Specifically, the role applies an advanced knowledge and experience of IT audit and will:
Assess the business related IT risks, which may prevent the attainment of business and IT policies and objectives and the actions taken to manage those risks;
Highlight areas where risks are not identified or where risk management processes could be improved;
Assist management in the anticipation and management of risk;
Influence rapid resolution of risk issues;
Enhance risk awareness and evaluate risk assumptions

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

To manage under guidance the risk based IT audits throughout EMEA. In particular to undertake the following:

1) To assist in annual plan and assignment plan of operational audits applying risk assessment and analysis;
2) To conduct planning, fieldwork and draft reporting of audit assignments;
3) To manage the conduct of fieldwork and draft reports.
4) To ensure effective follow up of issues in a timely manner.
5) To assist in the preparation of reports for audit committee or executive management.

Knowledge & Skills:
· Systems: Knowledge of at least 3 of the following core banking platforms: IBM Mainframe, AS/400/iSeries, Windows, UNIX, and various DBMS, e. g. MS SQL, Sybase, Oracle (essential).
· Communication skills i.e. the ability to write clear, concise reports within deadlines. (desirable) Must be able to present himself / herself and views persuasively yet diplomatically both in writing and in personal contact with all levels of management (essential).
· Personal skills i.e. the ability to work in a multi-national environment and strong interpersonal skills (essential).
· Analytical skills i.e. the ability to evaluate critically the risks to the business objectives represented by the activities and risk management procedures in the bank.(essential)
· General skills: i.e. must possess tact and persuasion and have the personality and motivation to sell the audit image (essential)
· Regulatory skills: Understanding of banking, procedures, control and regulatory requirements (essential).
