Senior Site Leader, AWS Support

We are continually expanding our services to support virtually any cloud workload, and now have more than 80 services that include compute, storage, networking, database, analytics, application services, deployment, management and mobile services. If you’re interested in joining our team and want to be at the core of pushing the boundaries of cloud computing and delivering a world class customer experience, the AWS Support organization is currently seeking a Senior Site Leader for our Dublin, Ireland site. Your team will be helping a wide-range of customers from the hottest startups to the largest corporations in the world both adopt and scale their usage in the cloud by leveraging services and features that best meet their needs.

We are seeking a Senior Manager with strong operational, leadership, and technical skills to lead a hands-on team of operations managers and technical support engineers. Your responsibilities will include:

· Leadership (both technical and personnel) within support and other engineering teams
· Management of staff, operational processes, systems and budgets
· Working directly with global AWS leaders across teams to ensure a high quality customer experience
· Driving customer communication during AWS critical events
· Driving projects that improve support-related processes and our customers’ technical support experience
· Ensuring the AWS Support product offering reflects the needs of the regional market
· Engaging with regional sales and other stakeholders to drive AWS Support adoption and customer enablement
· Providing career development opportunities for your team
· Creating a fun environment for people to thrive in

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience in managing highly technical support teams in a senior position is a must.
· Record of driving operational excellence and continual improvement in highly technical support environments.
· Deep understanding of what great customer service means.
· Strong leadership skills to manage changes and critical issues in a highly dynamic environment.
· Strong customer facing skills.
· Ability to perform and lead large teams under pressure.
· Track record providing inspirational leadership to large technical teams.
· Degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Hands-on experience with AWS service offerings.
· Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering related field and/or Business Administration.
