Senior Programme Manager

DESCRIPTION

A rare opportunity to make a marked impact on Amazon's bottom line across Retail and FBA marketplaces in the UK and beyond. This is the highest priority profitability challenge across the UK and cuts across almost every team on the retail and FBA platforms. We are looking for a talented, smart, and analytical candidate who is not afraid to roll up her/his sleeves to get the work done and who can also shape the vision and strategy for reducing customer returns and similar business costs. You will rapidly build trusting relationships with senior teams worldwide across the Operations, Transportation, Amazon Logistics, Customer Returns, Customer Service, Risk Management, Defect Reduction, Retail Finance, Retail Category Directors, Loss Prevention, Legal, PR and Software Development teams. You will be responsible for managing over £150MM in revenue refunds and devising a sustainable strategy to streamline them and make a lasting impact on our customers. The role will offer you significant opportunity to hone your leadership skills as you will drive projects across a multitude of areas and to gain a thorough understanding of Amazon processes, while making a significant contribution to the bottom line. This role is ideal if you are looking to develop a valuable skillset in project and stakeholder management, while preparing you to take on a strong leadership role across Amazon.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Relentlessly advocate for customers.
· Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
· Highly analytical, with a desire and proven ability to analyse various data sources and identify root cause and defects/drivers of performance.
· High level of written management reporting ability with strong visualization skills; able to present complex data sets into synthesized conclusions and recommendations.
· Ability to analyse and problem-solve issues real-time to readily obtain or deduce obvious issues; even when imperfect information or data exists.
· Results orientated with a bias for action; takes responsibility and owns through to delivery.
· Strong Influencing skills

· The ability to rapidly build high-trust relationships across multiple organisations, always maintainging focus on the customer experience; “start with the customer and work backwards”.

· Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics or related field.
· Experience translating roadmaps and key performance indicators in to operating plans and actionable items; confident making recommendations to senior leaders.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or Advanced degree preferred
· Demonstrable success and experience with Program/Project Management (Prince 2, PMP etc).
