Job Description:

Assistant Financial Analyst
•Production of monthly budget control reports for budget holders and provide support with their queries.
•Preparation of month-end accruals, prepayments and reconciliations.
•Prepare and input journals as and when required.
•Review and approval of expenses using in-house Expense Processing System (EPS).
•Assist with the London branch expense allocation processes.
•Analyse expense trends and provide commentary on comparison against budget, forecast and prior periods.
•Assist with the preparation of Management Committee Report.
•Assist in the preparation of the annual expense budget and monthly expense forecast for the London branch.
•Production of other customer reporting, including divisional/cost centre reporting, and Head-office reporting.
•Continuous improvement and automation of the reporting processes, suggesting best practices and implement.
•Assist with the maintenance of the fixed asset register, capitalisation and disposal processes.
•Provide support and cover for the rest of the Management Accounting and Expense Processing Team as required.

•Ability to liaise with various stakeholders across the organisation.
•Accuracy and eye for detail.
•Good understanding of accounting concepts.
•Strong numerical analysis and data interpretation.
•Advanced MS Excel skills with ability to write/modify macros.
•Ability to investigate variances to define issues/ drivers and explain to management concisely.
•Experience of month end reporting and a proven ability to operate to tight deadlines.
•Cognos TM1
