You will join one of the largest Psychology departments in the UK; consistently ranked as an outstanding research department in all seven UK Research Assessment Exercises. Your expertise and approaches will further strengthen our
strong international research profile our reputation for novel, research-led teaching.

About you:
We are looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer, Reader or Chair in Psychology or Psychology and Neuroscience. Does the following sound like you?
• You are an established educator with a proven teaching ability and demonstrable interest in developing innovative teaching approaches. This role will offer you the opportunity to design high quality research-led teaching for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• You hold a PhD in a relevant area, have a recognised international reputation in your research field, and high professional standing. Your research area will be in any field of psychology, including social and health psychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, clinical psychology, and neuroscience.
• You are well-positioned to be returned under REF2021, with an impressive publication record of original and internationally recognised research in peer-reviewed journals, a strong record of grant capture, and with potential to extend your record in both these areas.
• You are motivated to build on your existing research collaboration both within the University, nationally and internationally.
• You are an effective leader and could act as a role model and mentor for others in the department. Your ability to think
strategically, manage change, and lead substantial research programmes will add significant benefit to the department.
• You can collaborate effectively with colleagues from a variety of research interests and support the research of more junior colleagues.
• Through participation in and membership of committees, you will contribute to the life of the wider University.
