Site Merchandiser, Amazon Prime Video Channels

Amazon Channels is fast becoming one of the major global players in digital entertainment. We are changing the way millions of customers enjoy movies and TV shows.

We are seeking a smart, customer obsessed and analytical Site Merchandiser for this growing area of the Amazon Video business.

The Site Merchandiser will be responsible for driving a best in class customer experience by executing daily launches of new movie and TV content, as well as crafting plans for targeting and launching seasonal promotional campaigns, and developing messaging, content segmentation, and customer segmentation strategies to increase engagement rates across our customer base. This person will also contribute to the development and testing of new product features coupled with working closely with internal teams and across multiple functional areas including merchandising, product management, vendor management and marketing.

You’ll be a passionate advocate of movies and TV, with an eye for compelling merchandising, an aptitude for data-analysis, and a passion for continuous content testing. You will hold a high bar for measurement of merchandising activities, and will define success metrics, measurement methods and reporting processes for your efforts.

The Role:
· Creating and scheduling individual merchandising campaigns to the Amazon Video homepages across website, connected devices and mobile devices, including regular new content launches and seasonal promotional campaigns
· Optimizing on-site content campaigns, messaging and navigation through frequent testing and data analysis, documenting the results and sharing best practices
· Analysing data to identify customer segmentation strategies to utilize when merchandising content
· Partnering with our vendor management team to craft and execute promotional events and content launches on behalf of movie studios and TV networks
· Contributing to the development and testing of new customer-facing product features
· Identifying opportunities for content efficiency and automation and working cross-functionally to implement them


For this role we require:
· Degree Educated
· Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
· Marketing skills and commercial acumen
· Analytical skills and high computer literacy, with ability to learn new systems quickly
· Confidence in communicating both internally and externally
· Demonstrable ability to think on your feet and make smart decisions
· Planning, prioritisation and time-management skills


Further qualifications would be a plus:
· Previous experience in a related role (i.e. online content & marketing)
· Experience of analytical tools e.g. Excel, Google Analytics
· Basic knowledge of HTML and/or website content management systems
· Familiarity with databases and SQL
· Ability to analyze data quantitatively and use customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions and identify opportunities.
