Schneider Electric has a exciting opportunity for the right person to join our growing Industrial Automation Business as a Business Development Manager.

This is a role that requires 50% to 75% of travelling in UK&I zone. Apart from the time travelling this role will be home based.

Mission

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a sales professional to join our growing Industrial Automation Business. As a sales professional, you will be the focal point of Schneider Electric to the external market. You will be expected to develop strong relationships within existing end user accounts as well as acquiring and growing new accounts for the company. It is therefore essential that you have extensive experience of identifying and influencing senior key decision makers, up to C Level. You will be instrumental in developing, implementing and managing the commercial strategy for the Automation End user segment at Schneider Electric so any contacts or networks in this industry would be advantageous.

Main Responsibilities:

·The successful candidate will be selling the complete industrial automation portfolio of Schneider Electric.

This is a new opening that has been created due to excellent recent growth in the Industrial Automation segment. The successful candidate will be given existing leads to develop and close as well as being expected to uncover new growth opportunities. Schneider Electric has industry leading automation solutions that are seen as highly innovative by many clients and can give salespeople the advantage.

Schneider Electric is well respected in the Industrial sector with a good track record of successful projects and strong customer base. The successful candidate can expect support from internal technical teams and our global segment specialists to help them exceed the segment growth targets.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Essential:

A track record of selling Automation solutions by influencing specifications is ideal but a strong sales background, selling into the Industrial sector would also be considered.
We are looking for a strong End User account manager who will develop and grow existing accounts as well as identifying new business opportunities. You will therefore be articulate and have the ability to think on your feet.
We are looking for a professional with an Engineering degree but if you have a strong technical background we might consider as HNC or HND.
Schneider Electric product knowledge is not required, but an excellent knowledge of control systems or power management systems is essential. (PLC, HMI & Drives).

Desirable:

·Experience of selling within a matrix organisation would therefore be beneficial and good internal stakeholder management will also be critical for success.
