Role Summary

This is a key role within the Diageo Ireland business. Supporting the Senior NAM’s you will play a significant role in the development of our E-Commerce & Convenience Strategy across the Take Home Trade
Develop a deep understanding of Diageo and Customer strategies, shopper and consumer trends and use these insights to contribute to business development and trade strategy
Drive our E-Commerce agenda developing the online BWS category offer and driving growth for Diageo and the Channel
You will be required to work cross functionally across our customers building working relationships that will help to bring Diageo front of mind.
Top Accountabilities

P&L management including responsibility for account reporting and forecasting in order to maximise future performance
Support of integrated joint business plans and growth initiatives in the digital space which support the ecommerce strategy and company vision
Work cross functionally to drive sales & marketing capability with the customer marketing team to build integrated plans which drive change, incremental sales and ROI
Analyse KPIs and metrics to identify trends, generate sales growth and maximize conversion


Account Management - Your key responsibility will be to build strong commercial relationship across Tesco and with other current and new on-line customers of Diageo that drive Diageo growth.
Category Mindset- You will proactively define and communicate opportunities for Diageo and the category within your customers business by building deep insight.
Commercial acumen – you are a commercial animal, tenacious in the pursuit of creating sustainable value.
eCommerce – you are a day-to-day digital native with experience managing online customers including Grocery.com, B2B and Specialists.
Analytical skills – you have the ability to synthesise and analyse data, generating meaningful insights and recommendations

Qualifications and Experience required

Graduate calibre
5 years sales experience including at least 3 in an FMCG environment
A thorough understanding / working knowledge of the Irish Multiple sector, ideally within a FMCG environment
Previous responsibility for the deployment and management of substantial financial budgets.
Previous experience in a matrix management environment working with numerous individuals to achieve joint objectives
Proven track record in delivery of commercial metrics and sale growth initiatives
Highly numerical with experience in development of profitable customer propositions
Comprehensive understanding of key commercial measures
Experience of engaging cross functionally and with senior leaders within organisation (externally and internally)
Understanding of productivity measurement and reporting systems.
Good numerical ability and understanding of financial measures.
