The Schneider Electric Buildings business focuses on building control and management through a range of systems and services including BMS controls, fire and security systems. Increasingly Buildings are focusing on integrated energy reduction and security solutions. These solutions optimise building performance by improving reliability and enhancing the comfort and safety of individuals using the building whilst minimising energy usage. The business has responsibility to deploy our solutions in the hospital, life sciences and green building sectors.

We currently have requirements for 4x Project / Commissioning Engineers to look after projects in the South East of England.

Your Mission:

The successful Project Engineer will manage a portfolio of BMS (Building Management System) installation projects from order to completion - StruxureWare, Andover Continuum, Satchwell and TAC.

Your responsibilities:

1. Take full commercial and technical ownership of allocated projects from receipt of order and handover to contract close.
2. Be the single point of management contact for the customer, including site attendance.
3. Develop and manage the project programme.
4. Be able to commission the project
5. Update project – utilising the Project Update Customer sheet for circulation to customer and internal depts.
6. Provide full technical management of the project - directly or facilitated through the technical team.
7. Assist in the commercial management of the project.
8. Manage the site activities – liaising with identified stakeholders
9. Provide Safety and Quality requirements for the project including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
10. Support to the bid process, as required by the Commercial Department, providing input on project timescales.
11. Developing and maintaining key customer relationships.
12. Support to other members of the Operational Team and other areas of the business as needs dictate.
13. Work to existing procedures and assist in setting and establishing new operating procedures.
14. Ensure that any new opportunities uncovered are actioned as appropriate and directed to the Operations Manager and Commercial Department to increase orders.

About you:

- Educated to C&G/ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Experience within BMS (Building Management System) Controls Industry
- Technical development experience and technical knowledge of Schneider and/or third party technical solutions.
- Technical and commercial Project Management skills and supervisory skills desirable.
