Group Finance Analyst

The Taste:

The Group Financial Planning and Analysis Team is responsible for consolidating and presenting the Diageo and Premium Drinks Board reports and other group performance information and analysis for the Executive Committee in high quality to support decisions and the Business Performance Management (BPM) discussions internally. Analysis and interpretation of Premium Drinks data for BPM purposes, including presentation suggestions. Working closely with Diageo market teams and contacts, Group Strategy, Business Development, Central Performance and Reward and Investor Relations teams. Input to coordination of an effective financial planning process that achieves business commitment to stretching performance improvement goals.


Analysis and interpretation of Premium Drinks data for BPM purposes, including presentation suggestions
Liaise with and support market teams
Support an effective financial planning and target setting process
Support and contribute the insightful analyses distributed to Diageo senior management (actual reporting, O&R, AOP)
Provide support through providing ad hoc analysis necessary for Exec, Board and other senior stakeholders (including Group Strategy, Business Development, Investor Relations and HR)
Support the preparation of competitor analysis for the Diageo Executives to drive focus on Beat the Competition.
Support Executive reward and L3+ bonus processes from finance perspective
Ensure day-to-day work is in line with appropriate Diageo codes and control environments

How to Serve:

University or College Degree in Finance or Accounting
2-3 years of experience, ideally within FMCG or SSC environment
Fluent Business English knowledge
Good understanding of financial reporting
Advanced Excel skills
Experience of team working and an understanding of how to make a contribution as part of that team
Ability to communicate and operate at all levels within the organization
Experience of group reporting and consolidation tool (ie BFC) is an advantage
