Schneider Electric Substation Automation Solutions provide best-in-class protection, monitoring and control for energy distribution systems. This includes LV substations and EHV transmission grids. Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer, based at our Chippenham Energy Application Centre.

Your Mission:

Design and implement embedded software for Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), including development of specifications for customer product enhancements and provision of technical support.
Provide software services for RTU product offers including full technical ownership of the software development cycle
Provide detailed technical software support to customers. Provide software diagnosis and fixes, in-line with customer SLAs
Provide second-line technical support and fixes, to selected customers, within pre-defined time-scales during both warranty and post-warranty phases
Problem ownership; management of investigation and fix, from point of origin through to resolution
Technically support bid preparation

About you:
With a B.Sc (Hons), B.Eng (Hons) or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, you will have previous, demonstrable experience of working as an embedded software engineer across a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) product range.
