Business Partner Manager, Finance Operations

Finance Business Services (FBS) is a world-wide organization that works side by side with all Amazon businesses to help build and support the amazing products and services across all aspects of the company. The organization is responsible for driving world class processes like procure-to-pay and order-to-cash. We are constantly driving process improvements, defect reduction, and free cash flow improvements, with a high level of controllership and customer centricity.

The FBS Business Partnership team consists of Finance professionals who are deeply engaged with Business, Business Finance, and Business Technology teams in a way that allows us to identify and drive opportunity (improve customer experience, increase free cash flow and operating profit, reduce defects) on behalf of the Company; develop and deliver cross functional initiatives which continuously improve the services we provide; and align in a way that addresses both immediate needs and long term initiatives.

This fast developing department is now looking for a new UK Business Partner Manager to take on responsibility for some of the fastest-growing channels in the business-to-business area.

You will partner with and support the multiple functions within the business both in the UK and in Europe, define and establish best practice, initiate and take ownership of improvement projects, in an environment that is incredibly fast paced. You will lead a team of two highly skilled individual contributors.

About the role
The successful candidate will be a member of the UK Business Partner team located in Central London and will be responsible for providing a high quality experience for our internal business partners (Sales, Operations, Finance and Accounting) as well as external customers. You will partner up with global support centers, to ensure efficient and effective processes are in place while driving projects with a direct impact on profitability and cash flow. You will develop and manage a team that consists of two highly skilled individual contributors.

Responsibilities will include:
- Business Partnering: provide meaningful insights into key performance indicators, while cooperating with stakeholders to improve process compliance and efficiency.
- Managerial responsibility for a team of two highly skilled individual contributors.
- Delivering P&L and free cash flow opportunities.
- Supporting internal customer groups in Sales, Operations, Finance, Accounting and Technology.
- Collaborating with the global Finance Operations Business Partner Teams (mainly in the EU and the US)
- Maintaining and tracking Finance Operations performance metrics and communicating these on a regular basis to the relevant business partners and stakeholders
- Identifying process improvement opportunities for existing processes and controls, and driving positive change across the organization by working with Finance, Operations, and tech teams to scope and implement solutions.
- Cross functional project work, including, but not limited to, accounting / processing / payment / control integration for newly acquired or expanding businesses.
- Applying knowledge of multiple reporting systems to deliver solutions. This requires advanced computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel) and the aptitude to understand system dependencies.
- Working directly with some of our key customers to ensure their interactions with Amazon are as effective and efficient as possible
