Senior Architect

Job Summary
AECOM is currently seeking an experienced a Senior Architect. Our Mission Critical team are seeking a Senior Architect with experience in Data Centre/Mission Critical projects to join the Mission Critical team to be based in our Dublin office.
You must have Data Centre project experience and be willing to undertake some travel to be eligible for this role.
The Senior Architect will be responsible for the Design and project management of the architectural scope including; the primary building scope for the Data Centre including technical white space, Electrical Rooms, Main Distribution Frame (MDF) and an Administration Building (Building Support areas). Must have Revit capability, understand BIM and at least basic visualisation capabilities.

Duties of the role will include, but not be limited to;
Receiving brief from Senior Management, be able to contribute to the project management and lead architectural design.
Help to assess staff requirements at each work stage, agreeing these with the Project Manager and be able to manage single disciplinary and multi-disciplinary projects.
Attend progress, design team and co-ordinate meetings.
Prepare outline scheme report / technical content of the design information.
Input to pre-qualification and selection of contractors, respond to tender queries, comment and review tender returns.
Attend tender / client interviews.
Attend site inspection meetings.
Ensure the project work complies with the Project agreed scope
Management Plan and Programme.
Be competent with local architectural code requirements
Understand and implement AECOM’s Safety Health and Environment Policy.
Obtain the necessary information both internally and externally from engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Design Consultants

Minimum Requirements
A good technical understanding of architectural design requirements for Data Centre and Mission Critical Projects
Significant track record of leading architectural teams on complex multi-disciplinary projects along with a solid understand of co-ordination with engineering teams
Experience in project and client management within a defined fee budget and program.
Experience in identifying and winning new work and building client relationships.
Ability to speak fluently and communicate effectively in written reports and oral presentations

Preferred Qualifications
RIBA but not critical, experience and technical excellence preferred.
