External Job Description
We currently have an opportunity within Distillation and Maturation to join the Malt Distilling Leadership Group as the Senior Site Manager for Talisker Distillery & Visitor Centre. This would be based primarily in Skye but travel is required to deliver objectives for the wider distilling agenda.

Context
As part of the Malt Distilling Leadership Group this role is responsible for leading the Talisker site which also has Visitor Centre facilities:
•D&M Performance Targets
•Leadership & effective communications
•Global compliance framework
•Manufacturing Excellence framework
•Visitor Site

Purpose of Role
•To provide leadership and create the conditions for delivery of outstanding safety, quality, service & cost. This includes distilling and visitor centre facilities
•To actively role model ISC’s engagement, performance management and employee relations principles and processes.
•Support the growth of the Talisker brand by participating in brand support activities

Top 3-5 Accountabilities
•To safely deliver our customer spirit requirements
•Deliver great production quality, efficiency and quality KPI’s by using Manufacturing Excellence principles
•To provide outstanding leadership across all levels in Distillation
•To engage key stakeholders across the business
•Lead key business improvement workstreams across the Distillation and Maturation business

Qualifications & Experience
•Experience and working knowledge of distillation is desirable
•At least 5 years leadership experience and a great track record in a world class production/ manufacturing arena
•Educated to degree level or equivalent is desirable, ideally in related subject
•Will be a proven champion of manufacturing excellence leadership, management, tools & techniques and continuous improvement.
Effectively manages relationships, both internal & external to achieve great performance outcomes.
