Team Leader - Maintenance

Founded by Helen Cumming in 1811 as an illicit distillery and licensed in 1824, Cardhu is the first distillery to be officially pioneered by a woman. Two women, in fact: in 1872, Elizabeth Cummings, daughter-in-law of the founders, took over the running of the distillery and set about refining the flavour and character of the whisky we know today – the effortless, elegant, generous spirit, born of hard work and determination.

Top Accountabilities

Lead the site Technical Governance ITF and Engineering Scorecard reviews.
Support the creation and delivery of site maintenance budgets.
Provide Functional and Technical support on Electrical issues and improvements.
The engagement and development of OEM’ for support and improvements.
The conduit for Capex Engineering and site requirements

Key Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Environmental & Quality Standards at all times
Ensure compliance to maintenance regulatory standards within the packaging line teams
Packaging hall Electrical Authorised Engineer responsible for the capability and development of the Electrical craft
The management, progression and tracking of site PUWER actions against adherence to PUWER regulations and standards.
Manage and coach the asset care support team development programme to deliver sustainable asset care standards.
As required apply specialist knowledge to lead improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology.
Lead multi-disciplinary problem solving teams to address systemic and strategic problems within the packaging hall.
Capability development

Technical function - craft, graduates and apprentices.
Asset Care – PTL, MRTL.
Electrical Equipment Management – Obsolescence Risk Management (servo-drives, invertors etc).
Project Management capability – can demonstrate knowledge and experience in fundamentals.

Qualifications & Experience

A qualified time served trade is essential (Electrical)
Supervisory experience in a packaging environment with Great communication, influencing and engagement skills.

Relevant IBD qualification (General Certificate in Spirits/Beer Packaging) or willing to complete within 12 MThs
NEBOSH qualification or willing to complete within 12mths
Machinery safety qualification or willing to complete within 12mth.
