IT Business Analyst

The Business Analyst (BA) role has a key part to play in this agenda and is focussing on the functional deliverables for our global corporate functions, ensuring that all regional implications and requirements are considered in all solutions as well as working closely with our regional BRM s (Business Relationship Managers) to ensure globally consistent and streamlined system landscapes are created and maintained.

Dimensions of the role

a) Financial
This role will have a degree of financial responsibility, specifically but not exclusively during project delivery, supporting vendor selection processes and benefit management.

b) Market Complexity
This role will be responsible for delivering projects across our portfolio in Corporate Functions and hence span across all 21 Diageo markets. It has to ensure that global processes are followed and/or implemented with minimal regional deviation. It has to ensure that all new processes are globally adopted and that all change management considers regional and market complexities and requirements.

c) Leadership Responsibilities
•This role does not have any direct reports
•Vendor management relating to functional and technical deliverables
•Stakeholder management with key functional business resources
•Span of responsibility will include a level of decision making within assigned responsibilities e.g. scope of governance documents, target setting, operational decisions.
•Coaching other team members

Top Accountabilities

1.Support Business Partner and Business in identification of opportunities for growth, simplification or productivity gains or opportunities for a system enabler for their business strategy. Support creation of business cases and benefit definitions.
2.Responsible for the gathering, validation and sign-off of all business requirements on assigned projects, including functional, technical, process, data, reporting and integrations.
3.Support any vendor selection process on assigned projects including fit/gap against business requirements, working with Enterprise Architecture to ensure solutions fit with Diageo strategy and system landscape, vendor demonstrations, client references and support procurement process where relevant.
4.Responsible for the process, information and data work stream on assigned projects. This includes process mapping, simplification and re-engineering, data definition, reporting, data migration and data validation activities. The BA will be expected to make recommendations on solutions, leading through build and test into deployment.
5.Act as test lead on assigned projects (unless agreed otherwise due to size). This includes creation of test approach, leading the project team and business through relevant test phases, tracking and reporting, working with any 3rd parties to resolve defects and reporting against agreed exit criteria and required sign-offs. Support the business in the subsequent knowledge transfer into the business.

Qualifications and experience required

•Finance, HR, Legal and Corporate Relations process and system knowledge of advantage
•Experience and understanding of data definitions, data principles, data design and migration
•Experience in test management and Mercury Quality Centre (HPQC)
•Other key skills required:
oBenefits management
oBusiness analysis, process improvement (LEAN) and process testing
oChange implementation planning and management
