Role Purpose

Reporting to the Accounts Receivable & Payables Manager, you will manage specific supplier accounts, including processing and reporting of payable transactions. Acting as a role model to your peer group and the remainder of the team you will deliver an excellent supplier experience. The ability to manage an assistant and work constructively with teams across the business is pivotal to the success of this role.

Responsible for all assigned external supplier relationships ensuring that invoices are paid as due and supplier statement reconciliations performed at agreed frequencies
Performance of complex AP reconciliations as required
Delivery of metrics reporting and monitoring of the teams delivery against metrics
Responsible for day-to-day management of the assigned AP Assistant
Production of monthly information packs for accounts payable
Manage supplier correspondence in line with agreed turnaround time

Produce and reconcile monthly creditors reports and supplementary analysis

Production of the AP accruals and prepayments schedule

Produce the weekly payment run and prepare manual payment requests

Processing of overhead invoices and management of associated purchase order system

Liaise with operations team and suppliers to resolving invoice queries

Process employee expense claims in line with the company’s expense policy

Qualification and Skills
Formal Qualifications

• 3-5 years minimum of experience in an Accounts Payable line management role in a multi-currency business.

Specific Functional Competences, Knowledge and Skills Required

• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures.
• Willingness to process invoices and operate at a detailed level on a daily basis.
• Ability to work independently, and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service and develop strong working relationships both with the team and internal and external contacts
• Ability to set the tone of the wider department.
• Strong Organisational and communication skills
• Analytical & computer literate (strong in MS Excel)
• Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
• Possess a superior attention to detail and accuracy.

• Relevant qualifications are an advantage.

• Composure – to be able to work under pressure.
• Dealing with ambiguity. Problem solving and high bias for action
• Business awareness

Language Skills
• Relevant European language fluency an advantage (French; German; Spanish or Italian).
