Stakeholder Engagement Consultant

Job Summary
We are looking to recruit an experienced stakeholder engagement professional to join AECOM’s fast growing stakeholder engagement services team.

The team has won a number of exciting new commissions and currently looking to recruit into the Bristol office to support work on a major infrastructure project.

This role will involve management and delivery of stakeholder engagement and consultation for a major highway infrastructure project.

Job Responsibilities
The person undertaking this role will be responsible for delivery of stakeholder engagement and statutory consultation in advance of submission of Development Consent Order (DCO) application which will include:
Management of development of all materials required to support statutory consultation;
Ongoing engagement and communication with a wide range of external stakeholders;
Delivery of statutory consultation, including a number of public information events;
Management of systems required to collate and analyse details of stakeholder engagement activities and feedback received during statutory consultation;
Development of formal report on consultation and engagement activities to support DCO submission
Ongoing liaison with engineering, environment and DCO discipline leads to co-ordinate engagement activities; and
Project management and reporting on engagement and consultation activities.
Working arrangements

The role will be based in either Bristol or Birmingham but will require willingness to travel to engage with the project’s stakeholders and deliver consultation events/activities

Minimum Requirements
Proven project management skills and ability to help others develop;
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of multi-disciplinary team;
High standard of personal communication skills and confidence to engage with people in different sector disciplines, present to peers and clients, and communicate with technical/professional and community stakeholders; and
Willingness to travel and work flexibly.
Experience of delivering stakeholder engagement for infrastructure development projects – ideally including transport projects;
Experience of delivering statutory consultation for Development Consent Order (DCO) applications;
Passionate about delivering best practice principles for stakeholder engagement;

Preferred Qualifications
Degree in relevant qualification
