About The Opportunity
In this role you have the opportunity to initiate, drive and support process improvements with the Avionics & Instruments and Pneumatics & Actuation shopteams. Also, your work will involve optimizing operational performance, achieving cost savings and decreasing turnaround times across the shop processes.

You will be part of the IDG department. This team consists of specialists who work closely together with the Avionics & Instruments and Pneumatics & Actuation shops. You will be based at Schiphol (Oude Meer) and report to the Teamleader Power Generating (IDG).

The IDG department is part of Fokker Services. Fokker Services has earned its position as unique and valuable partner for the global aerospace industry, supporting a large fleet of various aircraft types. Capabilities include Component Availability Programs, Flighthour based Component Repairs, Engineering and Documentation Support and Airframe Maintenance, Modifications, Conversion, Completion capabilities as well as OEM Partnering and Support Services.

Key Responsibilities
You are responsible for:

Process Engineering, technical administration, routing steps, impact of documentation changes, tooling maintenance plan and execution, handling of process and technical data audit findings, root cause analysis and adapt and optimize process and maintenance plans.
Evaluation of new capabilities for hand over to shop and process optimization. Successfully initiate, drive and/or support process improvements with shop teams to optimize operational performance, achieve cost savings and decrease turnaround times across the shop process.
Wide knowledge of mechanical and electronic systems to support Process Engineers (functional team) at the Avionics & Instruments and Pneumatics & Actuation shop.
Support shop planning when needed.

Your skills and competences are:

To be successful in this role, you have an HBO work and thinking level with 3 to 5 years of experience in an Industrial/Mechanical Engineering role or similar. Furthermore, you have strong knowledge of Pentagon 2000 (ERP) and supporting processes, like internal work instructions. Other important requirements are:

You are able to work under pressure without losing overview;
To be successful in this role you need to have excellent people skills, be a motivator and a strong team player;
You need to have clear understanding of Aviation maintenance manuals;
You have knowledge of aviation regulations (FAA/EASA);
You need to be able to deliver to firm deadlines;
You are skilled with Microsoft Excel and Access based analysis and reporting tools;
You need to be comfortable with multitasking and have the ability to prioritize workload;
You have proven ability in judgment / decision making on a variety of issues within tight deadlines.
