Regional Manager - Amazon Flex

Amazon Logistics are looking to further develop its Amazon Flex delivery service operations.

Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors, called delivery partners, to make deliveries to our customers. With the Amazon Flex mobile app individuals can be their own boss by delivering Amazon orders. The Amazon Flex App allows individuals to sign up, input their availability so that delivery blocks are shared with then that they can accept or reject, in advance or on demand. The app also guides participants through their deliveries with in-app mapping and navigation.

Amazon Logistics is looking for a Regional Amazon Flex Managers to help establish Amazon Flex across the UK last mile operation in order to scale our network of Delivery Partners and innovate to drive utilisation and service optimisation. Internally you will work with functions that cut across the organisation to drive a great customer experience, including technology, transportation, operations and customer service.
The candidate must be self-driven, highly-analytical and not be afraid to take a hands-on approach to benefit the customer. Experience with operational management and process improvement is key and you should be comfortable with making critical business decisions in the midst of ambiguity, whilst also using data to identify and prioritise opportunities. Developing positive working relationships and utilising strong influencing skills across multiple stakeholders will be key to success in the role. The candidate should demonstrate a track record for innovation, strategic thinking and leading a variety of teams. You will regularly interact with senior leadership and drive change throughout the business.

Responsibilities
· Optimisation of planning model across the Region of delivery stations to provide the long term dynamic Last Mile solution for Amazon Logistics UK
· Accountability of scaling Amazon Flex in your region in line with the Last Mile business requirements
· Responsibility to lead the strategic management of Amazon Flex through working with operational teams and business stakeholders to improve quality and productivity metrics whilst aligning volume management with demand and capacity
· Highlight opportunities to further develop Amazon Flex Last Mile planning and execution through leveraging business intelligence and operational knowledge.
· Work closely with the World Wide Flex Teams to ensure all future plans and growth demand are met on time and support new initiatives that improve the service standards for our customers, deliver partners and Amazon Logistics UK
· Work with across functions to develop and standardise best practices across the UK network to benefit operations teams and Delivery Partners.
· Support launches of additional Amazon Flex serviced nodes across the network
· Partner with local operational site leaders and support functions to drive utilisation and optimisation of the Last Mile Amazon Flex model
· Work with key business partners such as Senior Management team, Transport and Sort, Finance, Loss Prevention, Learning and Development, Procurement, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering to deliver the operating plan and to secure required support and resource for projects and initiatives.

Please note: this is a Regional role and will require travel across our network. As such the base location for the ideal candidate can be flexible across the Region.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain, or equivalent
· Experience working in a logistics, manufacturing, engineering or distribution environment
· Experience of managing and delivering results in a service led industry would be highly advantageous
· Proven ability to manage critical project milestones and deadlines
· Highly organized, motivated and independent - an ability to complete a high volume of tasks with minimal direction, ambiguity and tight deadlines
· Proven ability of problem solving and very strong analytical skill capability as will be required to look at and find solutions for a variety of operational and technical problems
· Ability to manage a number of stakeholders effectively
· Strong verbal and written communication skills that are clear, organized, concise and an ability to adapt to appropriate audience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain is a plus
· Experience in Operational and Program or Account Management
· Basic understanding of Lean and Six Sigma.
