Summary: Are you interested in working for a world top 100 university? The Department of Human Communication Sciences wishes to recruit a part-time University Teacher with a background in child language and communication for a fixed term appointment. For this post, we seek candidates with expertise in child language and communication development in the educational context. You will play a key role in delivering and enhancing the department’s teaching and related administrative activities for our distance learning programmes. An important aspect of the job is to provide academic and tutorial support for students enrolled on our advanced certificate and specialist postgraduate courses as part of the Language and Communication in Children (LACIC) programme. Applicants must have a higher degree in a relevant subject area and experience delivering teaching in the higher education context through digital and online media. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading centres for teaching and research in human communication.

The Department offers a range of undergraduate and specialist postgraduate qualifications in the areas of human speech, language and communication. This includes two longstanding pre-qualification courses in Speech and Language Therapy.
